Hei! I'm Sue.
I make pottery in my home studio: nisse gnomes with tall floppy hats, quiet nativity scenes, moose for the garden, and mugs for good, strong kaffe. LOW stands for Lots Of Whimsical, because I think a little mischief belongs in every house.
I'm proudly Norwegian, and you'll see it everywhere in my work: the nisse who watches over the farm, the elg (moose) wandering through the trees, and that cozy feeling we call koselig, like candles in the window on a dark winter night.
Every piece is shaped, glazed and fired by hand, one at a time. Glazes run and pool differently in every firing, so no two pieces are ever quite the same. The one you take home is yours alone.
